Hopkinsville Kiwanis Warm the Children.jpg

It all started when...

the Hopkinsville Club partnered with the Kentucky New Era and the Salvation Army in 1995 to sponsor a national program called "Warm the Children" Project.  Every dollar raised is spent to buy new winter clothing for children in need. Each year the Kiwanis Club and a few local volunteers gather with the families to go shopping. To date, over $330,000 has been raised and almost 4,000 kids have been outfitted with new clothes. Watch the video below to hear the history of the program as told by longtime Coordinator and Warm the Children Chair, Willie Renshaw.
